Duncan works all over the world and within Australia, participating in multiple prehospital care and health services projects. Here are a few of Duncan’s current projects.
Paramedic Education in the Maldives
One of Duncan’s current projects is working with the Maldivian Ministry of Health to develop a paramedic education program that upskills current health care staff such as Nurses, to perform paramedic level skills outside their hospital and health clinics.
This project has involved developing a custom Learning Management System (LMS) to create a Blended Learning Model for delivering the theoretical paramedic content, as well as a series of face to face workshops that implements practical application of the paramedic theory delivered on the LMS.
This project is a collaboration between Griffith University, Repubic of the Maldives Ministry of Health, International Institute of Health Services and the Australian Awards for Developing Nations.
